Arahants’ Hall
All visitors to the Chedi complex will be greeted by an impressive hall housing images of an Arahant of the Buddha’s era (Phra Sivali Arahat) and renowned monks of our present era.
An Arahant or a "worthy one" or "pure one", refers to a person whose heart is free of mental effluents, who has abandoned all ten fetters that bind the mind to the cycle of rebirth, and who is thus not destined for further rebirth.
Visitors on their way to the Meditation Hall at Level 3 are reminded of what can be attained through diligent practice and contemplation.
