Come join us to celebrate Āsāḷha Pūjā Day, the day when Lord Buddha preached the first sermon (the Dhamma-cakkappavattana Sutta). 
This was also the day when the Triple Gem of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha was formed.

We welcome you, your family and friends to join us in welcoming the Thai New Year on Saturday, 13th April.

Māgha Pūjā Day commemorates a day during the first year of Lord Buddha’s teaching career when 1,250 Arahants (Enlightened monks) came together spontaneously without prior invitation, to pay respects to Lord Buddha. These Arahants were all personally ordained by Lord Buddha. Seeing that it was an assembly of purified monks, Lord Buddha preached to them the Ovāda-pāṭimokkha, a summary of the Dhamma. This summary has since been used as a synopsis of Lord Buddha’s teachings.

In memory of Phrakru Prakasa Dhammakhun, our late Founder, and other departed Sangha members of Palelai Buddhist Temple, our temple will be holding a special ceremony on the morning of Sunday, 17 December 2023. All are welcome to join.

Did you know that Palelai does not have any paid cleaning staff? The entire temple is kept clean through the efforts of the resident Sangha and volunteers. This is a special opportunity to contribute to the cleanliness of the temple, and have fun meeting other folks who enjoy taking part in giving through service at the same time.
