Luang Phor Maha Sri Nuan (Phra Kru Wimon Dhammarat Sri-nuan Wimalo) or Luang Phor Nuan, is the abbot of Wat Santhitam in Chiangmai and one of the prominent Venerable Elders within the Forest Tradition. .
Luang Phor Nuan practiced under Luang Phor Sim ( Direct disciple of Luang pu Mun) and Luang Pu Waen ( direct disciple of Luang pu Mun) when he first ordained as a novice. Later, after officially becoming a Bhikkhu, he continued to practice meditation and study Buddhism under the guidance of Luang Phor Maha Thong Inn. Luang Phor Nuan likes to practice in the mountainous regions of northern Thailand. He used to go about with other Dhamma practitioners looking for quiet and serene places to practice the Dhamma in the mountainous regions of Thailand.
Following which, Luang Phor Nuan was appointed by Luang Phor Maha Thong Inn as the deputy abbot of Wat Santhitam. This appointment signified that Luang Phor Nuan was to be the heir of Luang Phor Maha Thong Inn and would eventually become the abbot of the temple.
Luang Phor Nuan likes to live in isolation, so he spends most of his time practicing in the mountains. Although he is the deputy abbot of the temple, Luang Phor is rarely in the temple. After Luang Phor Maha Thong Inn passed away, Luang Phor Nuan was invited back by the temple to serve as the abbot and to manage the temple.
As Luang Phor Nuan's practice is well recognised by practitioners within the Forest Tradition, Luang Phor is often invited to attend Dharma conferences in northern Thailand and other provinces.
