We warmly welcome you, your family and friends to join us in celebrating the conclusion of the Rains Residence Retreat, also known as Kathina Day.

On this day, we commemorate Lord Buddha’s descent from Tāvatiṁsa Heaven at the end of the Rains Retreat after teaching his mother, Queen Mahāmāyā, the Abhidhamma.

We invite all devotees to join the Palelai Sangha to celebrate Āsāḷha Pūjā Day, which commemorates the day when Lord Buddha gave his first discourse (the Dhammacakkapavatta Sutta) to his first five disciples.
